2026 Market Rules
The 2026 Charleston Farmers Market at Courthouse Square, run by the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce, will be in operation every Saturday beginning May 23 and ending September 26. The hours of operation are 7:30 A.M to 10:30 A.M. (weather permitting).
Register for the market as a vendor.
Set up may begin at 6:30 am and should be completed and ready for business by 7:15 am. Vendors shall not sell their products prior to opening at 7:30 a.m. or to individuals who have not used designated parking. Customers are not allowed to park in the traffic lanes of the square.
Vendors can refer to the map or check in with the Market Manager upon arrival to be directed to their assigned booth space. Vendors will be required to accept the space presented to them. With permission, vendors may sell from the back of pick-up trucks, but only from within their assigned space. Two spaces are available for $215 (season rate).
All vendors and their items must comply with state and county regulations, or you will not be permitted to vend at the Charleston Farmers Market at Courthouse Square. The vendor is required to obtain all necessary permits and/or certification from the Coles County Health Department. Vendors must also comply with Coles County Health Department Guidelines. The Charleston Farmers Market at Courthouse Square is not responsible for the vendor’s failure to follow these regulations.
Sales must be made in an orderly and business-like fashion. Shouting, hawking, and other loud and objectionable tactics of solicitation are not allowed.
Nonprofit organizations offering services and information of general interest to customers are admitted by invitation only. Political and religious advocacy organizations are excluded from participating.
Each site should be kept neat, clean, and free of offensive odors or debris. Spaces must be cleaned before the vendor departs from the Market. You are required to take your trash, remaining products, and any other items that were not there when you arrived with you upon leaving.
A single-vendor space may be shared by two or more independent vendors, subject to the Market Manager’s discretion.
All vendors should assist in making sure the market is a safe and accessible environment for all customers. This includes making sure customers use designated parking spaces.
Vendors must have a tidy, smoke-free, and alcohol-free environment within their assigned booth space.
Enforcement of Market Guidelines is the responsibility of the Market Manager(s) and vendors. Any vendor who is found not in compliance with any of the Market Guidelines may be asked to leave the Charleston Farmers Market at Courthouse Square.
Complaints, questions, and/or suggestions regarding the rules of the Charleston Farmers Market at Courthouse Square must be reported directly to the Market Manager(s) for discussion and resolution.
The CACC will consider compatibility with our mission in determining participation.
